My artwork has appeared in movies, on billboards, in stores, on trucks and t-shirts for Nike that were seen across the world. I have done images for every major sport including basketball, hockey, soccer, baseball, football, golf, cycling and I even illustrated a body building competition…that sure was different. I have done a lot of portraits of famous people, including LeBron James, Matt Damon, Aretha Franklin, Barack Obama, Margaret Atwood, Kylian MBappé, Neymar and from the past Abraham Lincoln, John F. Kennedy and Malcolm X. What I love the most is illustrating books. I get to bring the words on a page to life with my art. Illustrating Go Show the World meant an incredible amount of research for me (an entire year!) and guidance from the author Wab Kinew. I work with traditional materials and then I use the computer to finish my work. When I’m not illustrating I direct an Illustration Degree program at Sheridan College in Oakville. I teach drawing and Illustration. My wife is an artist and designer and both of my kids are in University art programs. I guess it is really our family business.
