When will I get my books? Why haven’t I received my books?
All books ordered through the registration process are mailed by Tinlids Inc. If you have any questions regarding your order, please contact Tinlids directly at orders@tinlids.ca or at 416-665-5663 or 1-800-461-9397.

What is my password to access the activities and virtual content?
The passwords are provided in the email you received upon receipt of your registration. Please send an email to forest@accessola.com and we will send you the password once we verify your registration.

When will the password protected content for Forest registrants be available?
Some password protected content is available to use once you register. Resources such as activities, shared resources, voting information, downloadable information about the nominees, and other resources will be available November 15.  

Where are the tracking sheets?
Tracking sheets are how the readers can track their reading. They can be found under the password section of this website as of November 15 under Resources. Please note you must be registered in the current program year to have access to the password portion.

How do I get a nominee (author/illustrator) at my school or library?
On the password portion of the site the nominees have pages with all of their contact information.  

What is the deadline for submitting votes to the Forest of Reading?
For the school-aged programs (Blue Spruce, Silver Birch, Yellow Cedar, Red Maple, White Pine, Peuplier, Mélèze, and Tamarac), the deadline is April 30. For Evergreen, the deadline is September 30.

How do I submit my votes to the Forest of Reading?
Please make sure you are registered. The Forest registration fee is an annual fee. Visit the password portion of the site and click on the VOTING button in the top navigation. From there, you will be able to submit your votes electronically. We do not require paper hardcopies.

Is the Forest of Reading Festival (in-person) a free event?
No – the Forest of Reading Festival is a ticketed event that requires wristbands to be purchased. Every person (chaperones included) onsite at all the Festivals requires a wristband – this is your ticket that you buy through the Forest of Reading website or the Harbourfront Box Office.

I want to order tickets to the Forest of Reading Festival in Toronto. Who do I contact?
Tickets for the Toronto Festival are sold through Harbourfront Centre on a first-come-first-served basis. For other satellite Festivals, the tickets are sold through the Forest of Reading. For more information, please visit the Festival portion of the website.

I disagree with a book that is on one of the nominated lists. Who do I contact?
Please contact the Director of the Forest of Reading, Meredith Tutching at mtutching@accessola.com. The email will then be forwarded to the Chairs of the Committee in question and we a response will be given by the Chairs after consultation with their committee. 

How can I get my book considered for next year?
The Forest of Reading does not accept books for consideration directly. For all submission information, criteria and procedures, please go to the Publisher Section of the website.

Where do I find the previous winners of the Forest of Reading?
All previous nominees and winners from the beginning of each program can be found under the Programs for Kids and Program for Adult pages – look for PDF archives.

I would like these books in alternate formats. How do I get them?
A selection of the nominated books are available in a number of alternate formats. For more information please go to the Alternate Formats section of the website.

I would like to get more involved in the Forest of Reading. Are there any volunteer opportunities available?
Yes! Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Forest. Our Steering Committees and Selection Committees are all volunteer-based. Please visit the Volunteer webpage for more information. You may also volunteer for our Forest of Reading Festival events that occurs every May.
