Student Presenter & Sign Carrier Information
The Forest of Reading Award ceremonies are hosted by an emcee and each year there are student presenters and sign carriers that are assigned to each book/nominee. Applications are now open for young people to apply to be one of the lucky people to welcome the nominees to the stage.
Student Presenters: Each nominee is assigned a student presenter that will walk with them on stage, sit on stage and then get up to introduce them to the crowd. This role is perfect for a charismatic, outgoing person who is not shy to speak in front of 1300 young people.
Sign Carriers: This is a great role for a super fan who doesn’t necessarily want to speak to a large audience. Their role in the ceremony is to lead the nominee out and then stand behind their author/illustrator while they are seated in front of them.
