Forest of Reading Brand
FRANÇAIS
In September 2019, the Forest of Reading refreshed its brand identity, introducing updated branding for both the Festival and its award programs to celebrate the program’s growth, and of course, reading!
Through this branding, our vision is to enhance the visibility of the Forest of Reading in libraries while championing the value of Canadian authors and illustrators, books, publishing, libraries, and the love of reading.
About The Rebrand
After significant growth of the Forest of Reading Festival (previously named the Festival of Trees), we recognized that the brand needed to grow with it. The refreshed identity brings the Festival, award programs, and Forest of Reading as a whole together under one unified look. Our favourite aspect of the rebrand is that it has made it easier for readers, educators, libraries, and partners to recognize and connect with the program! It reflects who we are today while supporting our continued growth and celebration of Canadian books, authors and illustrators.
The Forest of Reading was selected to receive pro bono brand development, which is where the Brandvan Initiative comes in. A big thank you to Brandvan, who helped our small but mighty team share the story of who we are and what we’re about, all through incredible design work.
